The Campaign Trail

I think this advertisement is very effective. I thought it had a great message and I think it easily highlights many issues that Obama will have to be solving during his time as president. The issues highlighted in this advertisement are unemployment, war (in Iraq specifically), minimal health coverage, the diminishing economy and global warming.
At the end of the commercial when the first character finally answers the question, “WASSUP?” he says, “Change”. America is going through some great changes right now; they have their first black president (I am glad I am alive and that I am able to watch this unfold, so to speak) and they are going to be getting rid of a man who did nothing good for them these past few years (you can see the difference in the two commercials, eight years earlier everyone was a lot happier). Americans are hoping to turn everything right around and I hope they do to. I think President Obama is the right person to get them back on the right track. He must be so grateful to have been voted not just simply president of the United States but to be the first black man to be voted president. Barack Obama’s story is going to be so famous and is going to become such an important part of American history.
This advertisement shows everyone that President Obama knows what he is dealing with; he knows the things that people want him to fix. This advertisement shows that he, himself, is ready for a change and is glad to make it happen.

I don’t really know much about politics, I just think Obama is an innocent man that seems to really want what is best for the country. So to sum that all up I’m pro Obama and I think that advertisement probably spoke to a lot of people. I for one really enjoyed it. I found this picture and well, I guess not everyone feels the same way I do. To each’s own!
